Whole-body vibration training
HyperVibe™ is a form of whole-body vibration training we use at Physio Fitness to support strength, balance, and bone health — especially after injury, surgery, or during long-term recovery.
It delivers powerful neuromuscular stimulation through low-impact, oscillating vibrations — prompting rapid muscle contractions and creating a gravity-like effect on the body. The result? Stronger muscles, better balance, and healthier bones — without placing extra strain on your joints.
Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing osteoporosis, or simply looking to regain stability and strength, HyperVibe™ can play a valuable role in your treatment plan.
Why We Use HyperVibe™ ?
HyperVibe™ helps us deliver results — especially when you need to train without overloading your body.
It’s quick, efficient, and surprisingly powerful — even when you’re standing still.
When & Where It Helps
We integrate HyperVibe™ into treatment sessions for:
- Older adults at risk of falls or balance issues
- Post-operative patients rebuilding strength
- People with osteoporosis seeking bone-strengthening exercise
- Individuals with arthritis or joint pain who can’t tolerate impact
- Anyone needing muscle activation before rehab or strength training
You’ll never book it separately — it’s included at no extra cost when your therapist feels it will support your recovery.
How It Works
The HyperVibe™ platform creates an oscillating, side-to-side motion — known as pivotal vibration — which mimics natural human movement and feels like a gentle tilting under your feet.
Here’s what makes it effective:
- G-force training: The platform increases the force your muscles work against — simulating the effects of gravity and resistance training
- Neuromuscular activation: Vibrations trigger rapid muscle contractions (up to 30 times per second)
- Reflex stimulation: Improves control, coordination, and postural muscle strength
- Bone loading: Mechanical vibrations create the micro-stresses that encourage bone remodelling and density gains
And unlike linear vibration platforms, HyperVibe™’s pivotal motion is more comfortable, better tolerated, and avoids transmitting unwanted vibration to the head.
What to Expect During Your Session
Using HyperVibe™ is simple — and fully supervised:
- You’ll stand, squat, or perform light movements on the platform while it gently vibrates
- Your therapist will adjust settings to match your goals and ability
- Sessions are brief — often just a few minutes at a time
- You may feel a buzzing or pulsing through your legs — it’s unusual at first but very safe
- You’ll remain grounded, supported, and guided throughout
It’s an effective way to work your muscles and bones — without joint strain, long workouts, or high effort.
