Jess graduated from the University of Bath in 2012 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy, studying while training full-time as a beach volleyball player. She worked as part of a multidisciplinary team in an elite sports academy for three years before moving into private practice, continuing to compete alongside her work.
Her international beach volleyball career brought multiple national titles, international medals and two Commonwealth Games appearances. Jess draws on her athletic background and her love of the gym in the way she works with patients, and enjoys treating all varieties of injuries across all age groups – with a particular passion for getting people who never imagined they’d love the gym to love it too.
Outside of work, she trains in the gym every day and drinks a lot of coffee.
Jess describes herself as a pretty open book – though her two Commonwealth Games appearances in beach volleyball are usually the first thing people want to ask about.
