Lucy Slater

Senior Sports Therapist & Rehabilitator

Lucy completed her MSc with Distinction, earning AECC University College’s academic award for her grade, with research into building hamstring strength using blood flow restriction training. She also knows rehab from the other side of the table, having rehabilitated ACL ruptures in both knees conservatively rather than surgically. Going through her own recovery has made her an even better clinician, with a real feel for the milestones that matter and a knack for keeping people motivated and moving toward what they love.

Lucy works across the full spectrum of sport, from elite to grassroots. Her experience includes time as an Academy Therapist at AFC Bournemouth, and as part of her role at Physio Fitness she leads the physiotherapy provision at the Bournemouth 7s festival. Day to day she looks after a busy caseload of musculoskeletal and post-operative cases, specialising in sports injuries, return-to-sport rehab and strength work.

A footballer herself, currently playing for Sherborne Town Ladies, Lucy is all about active, education-led rehab: hands-on treatment, progressive strength work and plain-English explanations, so clients always know what’s happening and why.
