Mark Hiddleston

Osteopath

Mark has always been fascinated by human development from cradle to grave, and is forever discovering more about how we can support our own health. He was first hooked on osteopathy after receiving treatment in his twenties from a well-liked and respected Bournemouth osteopath, Ray Gaine.

Mark originally trained in sports therapy and personal training in 1999, working across massage, circuit training, personal training, spinning and boxing-fit. At the age of 40, with his wife’s support, he took on the challenge of a degree at Oxford Brookes University – five demanding years that he describes as elating, having left school with no qualifications. He has practised as an osteopath since 2013, helping people with pain and dysfunction.

His philosophy is simple: think well, eat well, exercise well, breathe better, sleep well – be well. As Mark puts it, life is a race, and it’s how you choose to run it.

Outside the clinic, Mark loves walking, the great outdoors, indoor rowing, breathwork, yoga and resistance training.

  • BSc Osteopathy – Oxford Brookes University (2013)
  • Dip FTST (1999)
  • General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) – 8435
  • Neck, back and shoulder issues
  • Special interest in headaches
  • Breathwork

Mark can ride a unicycle and juggle – he and his wife were once a double act known as “Mr and Mrs Juggles”, and even performed at the 4th birthday party of our Practice Manager, Freddie Mott!
